Deep Listening
Deep Listening is a series for experimental electronic-based performance that I organize and host at the Parkside Lounge on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The title is derived from Pauline Oliveros’ practice of radical attentiveness to sound. In programming this series I search for artists and performers I consider to be experimentalists in form, composition, and performance, and present them in a relaxed, queer-focused bar as a way to bring disparate NYC music communities together.
