Deep Listening
Deep Listening is a series for experimental electronic-based performance that I organize and host at Parkside Lounge on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The title is derived from Pauline Oliveros’ practice of radical attentiveness to sound. In programming this series I search for artists and performers I consider to be experimentalists in form, composition, and performance, and present them in a relaxed, queer-focused bar as a way to bring disparate NYC music communities together.
